Natural Resource: What is it in real ?
Everything that surrounds us is collectively termed as the environment. Environment acts as a life support system for us, since it is from the environment that we get food to eat, water to drink, air to breathe and all the other requirements of our day-to-day life.
Biosphere and Natural Resources
Biosphere means regions of earth’s crust and atmosphere occupied by the living organisms. Biosphere can be divided into three physical divisions-land or lithosphere, water or hydrosphere and air or atmosphere.
Lithosphere is the outer solid crust of Earth which we call land. Its upper weathered part forms the soil.
Hydrosphere is the water component of Earth. 75% of the Earth’s surface covered with water in the form of seas, rivers, lakes, ponds, impoundments (= reservoirs), dams, etc. Underground water is another component of the hydrosphere.
Atmosphere is the blanket of air that covers the whole Earth.
But now due to many reasons, the Biosphere in which life is supported is now being disturbed due continuous human activity. This area is very important for life, even if you will think that this will not affect your life style than your completely wrong. Suppose due to continuous disturbances in this ecosystem, water cycle gets disturbed. By which crop will be not sufficient, that can lead to famine if there will be not a proper management of storing crop for future.
So, even you can also get effected by the famine. And at that time people will the importance of our biospheres and well as of our nature. so, before anything like the famine happens we have to take an action towards our duties as being the most intelligent species on Earth.
As you are also connected to this ecosystem, if one thing will be disturbed then another will be disturbed automatically. That’s why we all should support this by different methods such as planting trees as much as possible, saving wildlife etc.
And we all can do it by many simple things such as just donating little amount to those organizations which are doing this or by planting trees. By saving electricity which will also save your money. Saving water is also needed.
What is a resource? What makes it different from others? These are few important things that we should know before talking about natural resources. A resource is somethings which has some utility (in simple means use), this use adds some value to that thing.
Simple and easy example is water. We need to water to survive and as well as to perform our daily activities. Suppose there is no water, then you might probably think that we will not be able to drink. And even you will not be able to perform your daily activities as well such as bathing, brushing, cooking, washing etc. So now you can differentiate that how water becomes a resource for such as compare to free Wi-Fi! (which many people think now).
Natural Resources are a living and non-living component of the nature which are sued by humans to meet their requirements. Since till now we sued all the resources on earth and from the earth, so these resources are also known as Earth resources. There are two types of natural resource on earth:

Exhaustible natural resources: They are natural resources which occurs in such abundance that they are not likely to get exhausted despite continuous use. Example- air, wind, water, solar energy etc.
Inexhaustible natural resources: They are natural resources which are available in limited quantity. They may get depleted by continuous and indiscriminate human consumption. Exhaustible resources are of two kinds, renewable and non-renewable.
And most of the resource or mainly fossil fuels that we use are non-renewable resource such as coal, petroleum and its different products etc. And if we will still depend on these non-renewable resource, then probably we can get out of the energy in the future
